First Secretary Rophino Roby Completes Climate Resilience Training Programme in Wellington, New Zealand

WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND—On February 9-27, 2026, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) was represented by First Secretary Rophino Roby of the FSM Embassy in Suva at the “Climate Resilience Training Programme” held in Wellington, New Zealand.
 
The Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia is pleased to congratulate First Secretary Roby on his successful completion of the three-week program, delivered under the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship Programme.
 
The program convened officials from Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and provided targeted training and peer exchange to strengthen capacity, enhance regional collaboration, and support sustainable development across the Pacific. First Secretary Roby’s participation reflects FSM’s continued commitment to strengthening national and regional capacity in key sectors impacted by climate change.
 
Throughout the program, First Secretary Roby participated in intensive courses and peer exchanges in this intensive learning experience; deepening his understanding of climate resilience issues, expanding his professional networks across the region, and enhancing practical skills that will support his role in the FSM Suva Mission.
 
We commend First Secretary Roby on this achievement and remain confident that his enhanced expertise will further FSM’s priorities in climate action and sustainable development.
