SUVA, Fiji: On July 14 – 18, 2025, H.E. Carson K. Sigrah, supported by Assistant AG Robert Nakasone, attended the Pacific Regional and National Security Conference (PRNS) that was concluded by a two-day Forum Sub-Committee meeting on Regional Security meeting (FSRS) at the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat. The meeting convened security focal points, security stakeholders, and security professionals to discuss the security outlook of the Pacific Region and provided a key platform to incorporate Regional Security issues from across the Forum membership.
Assistant Attorney General Robert Nakasone Jr., with the support of the FSM Embassy in Suva, were provided the opportunity to share FSM’s views toward existing and arising security challenges, and relooked at the security landscape of the Pacific Region. FSM affirmed its commitment to regional collaboration in fostering a safe and secure Pacific, and prepares for the continued discussions at this year’s 54th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders meeting to be held in Honiara, Solomon Islands later this year.
